Leveraging PLR for research

Most people look at Private Label Rights, or PLR products as a way to get around having to create content. They use PLR for web content or as a product to sell. Another highly effective use for PLR is research. In this article, we're going to look at some ways you can leverage it this way.

One of the most time-consuming parts of creating content is the research stage, particularly if it's a topic that you're not all that familiar with yourself. It can take quite a while to read up on the topic, figure out what the market is looking for and then outline the content itself.

PLR can shortcut this entire process for you, virtually altogether.

Researching the topic is a necessary part of creating the PLR package in the first place. Rather than treating PLR as a content creation shortcut, look at it as a research content.

Keep in mind, however, that this all requires you to have some high-quality PLR in the first place. If you start with a bunch of crappy articles, you probably won't get enough good information from them to save you any time on research.

You can look at a number of things to use as inspiration for your own original content:

- Table of contents
- Your data contained inside the PLR
- The layout and structure

If there's a table of contents in the PLR, that alone can be a huge timesaver - you'll have a ready-made outline for your product. You could take that outline and use it to write your own original content, break it down into pieces that can be delivered over time through a membership site or even use it as the basis for a coaching program.

Of course the actual information in the PLR is also useful, since it can be used to research the topic further. This is most useful if you're writing about a topic you're not that familiar with personally, since it will all be ready for you to use.

The layout and structure of the PLR is also useful as a research tool. You can not only ovecome writer's block this way, you can also take aspects of the design that you like and use them yourself.
